Sebastian Chang Piano Studio (abbreviated SCPS)
First Lesson
A student's payment for their first lesson should be received by SCPS at least 24 hours before the start of their first lesson.
Continuing Lessons
Lessons are pre-paid before the beginning of the first lesson of each calendar month, for all lessons during that month. Payment for all lessons that month are due at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time of the first lesson for that month. If payment for all the lessons for that calendar month is not received at least 24 hours before the scheduled start of the first lesson for the month, SCPS is not responsible for giving any of the scheduled lessons for that month, nor be present for any of the scheduled lessons of that month, nor be obligated to make up any of those lessons at a later time or date.
Rescheduling & Cancellations
Late Arrivals
If a student anticipates being late for a lesson, the student must inform SCPS by call, voice message, text message, or email, before the scheduled start of the lesson. All lessons will end at their scheduled ending time.
Cancellations
If a student needs to reschedule or cancel a lesson, a call, text, or email must be received by SCPS no later than 24 hours before the beginning of the lesson. Failure to inform of a cancellation of a lesson more than 24 hours before the start of the lesson in question may result in the student being charged for that lesson.
No-Shows
If a student hasn't shown up for their lesson, 15 or more minutes have elapsed since the beginning of the lesson, and the student or parent has not called, left a voice message, texted, or emailed SCPS to inform them of being late or cancelling the lesson, the lesson will be counted as a no-show. In the circumstance of no-shows, SCPS cannot guarantee that an instructor will be available to teach the lesson if 15 or more minutes have elapsed beyond the scheduled start of the lesson and SCPS hasn't received a communication from the student. Students are responsible for reimbursing their SCPS instructor for any no-show lesson, should the decide to continue taking piano lessons from SCPS. Payment for the no-show lesson as well as the scheduled lesson(s) in the future are due 24 or more hours in advance of the future lesson(s).
